The Drum Show - Sunday 21st May

We are holding our annual Drum Show. The show is such an important event in our fundraising calendar and it provides us with the vital funds to help keep the RDA services going throughout the year so please come and join us for a fun day out.

RING 1 - Judge: MRS FIONA JANE MCERLEAN

09.30 am - CLASS: 1 Pony Club Pony (exceeding 13.2hh)

10.00 am - CLASS 2: Pony Club Pony (13.2hh & under)

10.30 am - CLASS 3: Lead Rein (rider to be 9 years of age or under on the 1st of January of year of show, WALK/TROT ONLY, NO JUMP

11.00 am - CLASS 4: Yearlings/2/3 Year Olds   

RING 2 - Judge: MISS ELLA DUNN

Veterans (16 yrs plus)

09.30 am CLASS 5: Veteran in hand, Horse or Pony

10.00 am - CLASS 6: Walk/Trot Pony to include Lead Rein

10.30 am - CLASS 7: Veteran Horse (16 years & over, ridden)

11.00 am - CLASS 8: Veteran Pony (16 years & over, ridden)

09.15 am - CLASS 9: Mountain & Moorland (Small Breeds in-hand)

09.45 am - CLASS 10: Mountain & Moorland (Large Breeds in-hand)

10.15 am - CLASS 11: Mountain & Moorland (Small Breeds ridden)

10.45 am - CLASS 12: Mountain & Moorland (Large Breeds ridden)

Large breeds are: Fell, Dale, Highlands, Connemara, Welsh C & D

Small breeds are: Shetland, Welsh A & B, Dartmoor, Exmoor

(1st class jumps will be approx 40cm and will be raised 10cm after each class)

(NB:  Classes 30 & 31 if you are competing in other show classes, please ask Steward if you can compete as an A5 competitor.)

CLASS 31: Novice Horse (Jumps approx. 50cm, not to have won 6 firsts)

CLASS 34: Open Horse (Jumps approx. 80cm)

RING 9  Pony Jumping (not exceeding 14.2hh)

A late or field entry is acceptable on the day at a cost of £10.00 (cash only).  Late entries will only be permitted if there is sufficient space in the class; therefore there is no guaranteed entry.

After first classes in each ring, all times are approximate but none will start before the allocated time.  The Committee accepts no responsibility for anyone missing his/her class, overlapping classes or entering the wrong class.  Entry money will not be refunded.

The Judge’s decision is final.

All competitors please note:  Anyone seen using excessive or uncalled-for use of the whip will be asked to leave the Show, and will not receive a refund.

Clear Round:  £5.00 (cash only on the Day)

Field entries:  £10.00 (cash only on the Day)

IN THE EVENT OF THE SHOW BEING CANCELLED

WE WILL DEDUCT £2 FOR ADMINISTRATION COSTS.

PLEASE NOTE THERE WILL BE A £2 FEE FOR FIRST AID COVER.  IF THIS IS NOT INCLUDED WITH YOUR ORIGINAL ENTRY FEE, YOU WILL BE ASKED FOR PAYMENT ON THE DAY.  IF YOU REFUSE, UNFORTUNATELY WE HAVE THE RIGHT TO WITHDRAW YOU FROM ALL COMPETITIONS WITH NO REFUND.
